How do I get Google Analytics hands-on practice?

1) The Google demo account can be fun to play with and I have my students analyze the Google Merchandise store account.

2) Help a small business, community organization, or non-profit with their analytics. They will be grateful for another pair of eyes and won't have massive expectations that come with paid consulting.

You can offer to help them with their analytics for free in exchange get the experience and acquire positive testimonials and/or referrals. You can then work your way up to taking on paying consulting gigs with the end result becoming a full-time consultant, freelancer or building your own agency.
