How can I best track the cart abandonment rate in Google Analytics?
Take note of each page of your cart and write down the specific URL for each. Set up a goal in Google Analytics for your final "thank you" or cart confirmation page, and then set your goal steps up based on the URLs you wrote down for each specific cart step, starting from the beginning.
You can also verify this number by measuring the page views for each page of your checkout process individually and plotting your funnel manually.
