To be GDPR compliant, do I still need to provide a cookie consent banner when using anonymized IP user address?

Complete Question: I'm using Google Analytics and have added the code to anonymize the IP addresses. The only Data Sharing setting that I've enabled is benchmarking. Do I still need to provide a cookie consent banner, and confirm that the customer's anonymized IP address is being collected in my privacy policy in order to be GDPR compliant?
